MAY 29 HANDOVER: DIASPORA NIGERIANS INFORM TINUBU OF THEIR EXPECTATIONS
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
"You were elected to bring Nigeria out of woes..."
Nigerian Diaspora Academics and Campaign for Democracy in the United Kingdom and Europe have urged President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead Nigerians out of the country's terrible economy and insecurity in the next four years.
According to the group, the country needed emergency procedures.
In a statement issued in Kaduna on Monday, the group's President, Dan Farauta, warned the President-elect that the mandate freely handed to him was not for absenteeism or ghost president.
The organization argued that what Nigerians require at this vital moment in their history is a physical presence to save the country and liberate them from neocolonialism and the brigandage of looters who have invaded the country both internally and externally.
"Nigerians have invested their political franchise for you," the group stated, "resulting in your victory in the recently concluded presidential election.
The statement further stated that Nigeria as a country is currently badly divided along several strata and on the verge of collapse due to the current government's mismanagement of the commonwealth and resources.
