UCL: LAMPARD EXPLAINS WHY CHELSEA FELL 2-0 AT HOME TO REAL MADRID

The Blues were eliminated after losing 2-0 to Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge for the second time in a week.

Rodrygo scored twice to help the holders defeat Lampard's men.

After the game, Lampard believed that if they had taken their chances earlier, the outcome would have been different.

"Yeah, for sure. We played really well for 60 minutes. We created chances but you have to take them.

"You don't want to praise the performance too much when you lose at this level but we were much improved. This club has been further in this competition and the players can take this feeling forward with them for the future," he said.
