ISRAEL ADESANYA OVERCOMES PEREIRA TO RECLAIM THE UFC CHAMPIONSHIP (VIDEO)

Israel Adesanya, a UFC fighter of Nigerian descent, called his victory over Alex Pereira "sweet retaliation."

To reclaim the UFC middleweight championship, Adesanya had defeated Pereira via knockout.

The Nigerian-born fighter had put out Pereira's lights with one powerful blow, returning the belt to Adesanya.

The UFC fighter claimed that after the fight, the hunter had changed into the prey.

In a post fight interview, the Nigerian- born said: "This is a sweet sweet victory and you know I have a sweet tooth. The hunter is now the hunted."

Pereira had defeated Adesanya in their previous bout.

The 33-year-old suffered a shocking fifth round technical knockout loss to Pereira inside Madison Square Garden.
