Graham Potter's dismissal from the club on Sunday stunned the Chelsea players.

Following the Blues' 2-0 loss to Aston Villa at home, a statement from the club was released to confirm Potter's departure.

Under the former Brighton manager, it was their 11th in total.

Several onlookers were somewhat surprised by the statement's social media publication because most of them had assumed the team would keep Potter until at least the end of the season.

The Telegraph claims that everyone was as surprised as the Chelsea stars.

They called their agents after learning the same thing as everyone else.

Potter was just hired in September, following Thomas Tuchel's firing.
