GAVI'S DECISION TO GO FROM BARCELONA TO CHELSEA IS MADE PUBLIC
Gavi, a star for Barcelona, has made a choice on his rumored transfer to Chelsea.
The Spain international has been heavily rumored to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Yet, according to Diario AS, the Barcelona star has no desire to leave the Catalans.
According to the Spanish publication Diario AS, the Blues and the midfielder's advisors discussed a potential summer transfer to the West London club.
The reports were refuted by a Spanish journalist named Sique Rodriguez, who asserted that while Gavi may leave Barcelona if he doesn't register, he has no intention of doing so voluntarily.
Gavi, a graduate of La Masia, made his La Liga debut during the 2021–22 season, playing for former manager Ronald Koeman. Since then, he has become a crucial member of Xavi Hernandez's team.
Gavi agreed a new contract with Barcelona in September 2022, but the deal fell through owing to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
The Blaugrana obtained a precautionary measure from the court in January, registering Gavi as a first-team player and assigning him the No. 6 jersey.
His registration was quickly revoked since Xavi's side failed to file the paperwork before the transfer window closed on January 31.
The teenager is now listed as a youth team player at Camp Nou, which he dislikes, and he will be a free agent in the summer.
