EPL/FA CUP: DE GEA IDENTIFIES THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has rated Manchester City as one of the top teams in Europe and the world, following the announcement that both city rivals will meet in this season's FA Cup final.
De Gea, on the other hand, warned Manchester City that Manchester United are capable of defeating them and earning the trophy in the season finale.
United defeated Brighton on penalties at Wembley on Sunday evening after the semi-final finished in a 0-0 draw.
The Red Devils won 7-6 on penalties, with Victor Lindelof stepping up to score the game-winning penalty after Solly March missed.
Manchester United were defeated 6-3 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium early in the season, but they rallied to defeat their city rivals in the rematch in January.
"The final will be a big game against one of the best teams in Europe, in the world," de Gea told BBC One.
"We showed already when we played against them at home that we can beat them.
"There is a long time until the final, we have to finish in the top four first and then go and give everything in the final."
