EPL: FRANK LAMPARD ADDRESSED THIAGO SILVA'S CRITICISM
"That's your opinion..."
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has reiterated that veteran defender Thiago Silva is free to express himself after the Brazilian criticized the club's owners.
Following their Champions League quarterfinal loss to Real Madrid last week, the Brazilian defender lashed out at the club's owners.
The Blues will finish the season empty-handed after spending £600 million in the previous two transfer windows. They finished 11th in the table, missing out on a place in next season's Champions League.
Frank Lampard was appointed manager for the remainder of the season after Graham Potter was fired due to a bad run of results.
Silva had blasted the club's owner, claiming that the delay over naming a permanent successor to Graham Potter had harmed the players.
When asked for his reaction ahead of tomorrow's game against Brentford, Lampard was blunt: "That's Thiago's statement."
