CHELSEA'S STAR IS DISILLUSIONED AFTER RECEIVING HARSH CRITICISM FROM BOEHLY

Todd Boehly and company's visit to Chelsea's changing room has not gone down well with the players.

During his impassioned lecture to the players following Saturday's defeat to Brighton, the American was believed to have singled out one of his failing players.

They were defeated 2-1 by the Seagulls, their 12th defeat of the season, which dropped them to 11th in the Premier League rankings.

Boehly was in the Blues' locker room with fellow co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Hasjorg Wyss.

In a speech intended to energize the players ahead of their Champions League quarter-final return leg against Real Madrid on Tuesday evening, he called their current condition "embarrassing."

But, The Guardian stated that one player was left disillusioned after the American singled him out and harshly criticized him.

The unnamed player is supposedly an old player signed for a substantial sum by the new ownership in the last 12 months.
