BUHARI HINTS AT WHAT HE HAS DONE TO HELP TINUBU'S ADMINISTRATION PROSPER IN THE OIL SECTOR

As the Nigeria International Energy Summit 2023 began, President Muhammadu Buhari stated that, as a result of his government's achievements in the oil and gas sector, he has provided the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration with a springboard to success.

Buhari made the announcement on Monday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential House while declaring the NIES 2023 open in Abuja.

He stated that this year's summit would highlight his administration's oil and gas performance.

Buhari, who was represented by Mr Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), said he accomplished a lot in the oil and gas industry, which benefited private businesses.

"Our perspectives have provided the incoming government with the tools to guide Nigeria's energy future. I urge industry stakeholders to give the incoming administration the support and cooperation I received from you," he said.

Buhari's Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) remains the second most significant achievement in the energy industry.
