BANDITS ABDUCTED 80 CHILDREN IM ZAMFARA STATE

80 kids have been kidnapped by bandits in Zamfara. According to BBC Hausa, the kids range in age from 12 to 17. The victims were in the bush gathering firewood at around 8:00 a.m., according to some parents of the kidnapped children who spoke with the British broadcaster. Then the attackers rounded them up and marched them into the forest.

As of the time the BBC reported the kidnapping, the kidnappers had not yet managed to contact the parents to lay any demands.
