YOUTHS DEMANDS FOR TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS AND BANS ON VISA
Reported rigging prompts group to demand for travel restrictions and visa bans for INEC officials
A rights organization, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has demanded travel restrictions and a ban on visas for a number of Nigerian governors and INEC officials.
The group said that the call was made as a result of their involvement in the rigging of last Saturday's presidential election in a press release that was signed by its chairman of the board of trustees, Mr. Emeka Umeagbalasi.
The group demanded that several international organizations and nations take action against individuals who were allegedly involved in the rigging and abusing voters' rights.
"We have identified 44 top INEC officials that vicariously or directly involved in the INEC in-house brutal rigging of the 2023 presidential poll.
"We have reported them to 31 key foreign missions in Nigeria, representing the world's best and most powerful democracies.
"We also reported to the 31 globally respected democracies four conspiratorial Governors," it said.
