UCL: CHELSEA'S NEW PENALTY TAKER IS REVEALED BY POTTER

Graham Potter

Since Jorginho left for Arsenal in January, Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has revealed that Kai Havertz will now be the team's new penalty taker.

27 out of the 31 penalty kicks Jorginho attempted while at Stamford Bridge were successful.

Potter confirmed that Havertz is the favorite option for penalties ahead of Tuesday's Champions League matchup against Borussia Dortmund.

"The players are always practising penalties. We are prepared for the eventuality and possibility of a penalty shootout.

"We want to win it before that but if not then we will be prepared to go through in that way. Kai is our penalty taker in the absence of Jorginho," Potter said.

In 32 games for Chelsea this year, Havertz has only six goals.
