THIRD WIFE OF LATE FOOTBALL LEGEND PELE WILL RECEIVE 30% OF HIS ESTATE
Marcia Cibele Aoki, the third wife of the late football legend Pele, would receive 30% of his estate, according to his will.
In an interview with AFP on Tuesday, Cibele's attorney Luiz Kignel stated that a woman who may be Pele's unrecognized daughter is also included in the will.
The last wife of Pele, Cibele, is to receive his mansion in Guaruja, a beach resort town south of Sao Paulo, according to Kignel's interpretation of the will.
Additional possessions of Pele, who passed away in late December at age 82 after battling cancer, include other real estate and a stake in the Pele brand, according to Kignel, who added that a full inventory has not yet been made.
"He indicated the possibility of the existence of another daughter, whose recognition will depend on a DNA test, which could not be carried out (on Pele) due to the pandemic and the state of his health," Kignel said.
Pele's offspring, including a possible unrecognized daughter, will receive the remaining 70%.
