SUPER EAGLES OFF TO BISSAU SUNDAY FOR DJURTUS REVERSE FIXTURE


The Super Eagles of Nigeria will jet out to Bissau on Sunday morning for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four encounter against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.


The players and their officials, MON DIARIES learnt, will depart from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 7am aboard a chartered flight.


Monday's encounter is billed for the Estadio 24 de Setembro, Bissau.

On Sunday morning, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will take a flight to Bissau for their match against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on matchday four of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.


The Eagles were defeated in front of ardent home supporters thanks to Mama Balde's lone goal in the 29th minute of play.


In the second half, Jose Peseiro's team had twelve chances to score but were unable to do so.


"Please don't give up on us. We know you deserve more and we're very much on course to make you happy," reads a tweet on the team's official Twitter handle.


When they play the Djurtus in the rematch on Monday, the Super Eagles will have another opportunity to exact revenge on their opponents.


The three-time African champions will retake first place in Group A with a victory.
