PDP ENUGU ALLEGEDLY EQUIPS BOGUS SECURITY GUARDS AND BUYS VOTES - CUPP
Festus Okafar, the state's CUPP chairman, made the claim in a statement made accessible to press on Monday.
Okafor asserted that the South-East Council of Traditional Rulers' most recent press conference vindicated the CUPP's claims against the PDP.
Agubuzu, who is also the Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, claimed that some political actors in the region made provocative utterances that necessitated the news conference. Okafor claimed that Nigerians could now understand that the CUPP was not making untrue assertions.
He claimed that the group's information also exposed the PDP's plan to send thugs and false security agencies into polling places.
According to him, "The aim is to give the semblance that security agencies are on duty, after which they will provide cover for the thugs to unleash mayhem on the people and then scuttle the process, especially in the stronghold of the leading opposition parties.
