IPOB LEADER NNAMDI KANU REORGANIZING HIS LEGAL TEAM
Nnamdi Kanu's legal team has refuted rumors that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader intended to change his legal representation.
According to reports, Kanu met with his special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, to discuss the possibility of switching his legal counsel.
Kanu was said to have met with Ejimakor prior to the dissolution of his legal team and given him instructions to request the immediate return of his case file.
The IPOB leader is angry that his legal team has not been successful in securing his release despite the Appeal Court's decision to release him last year.
Ejimakor, however, denied the accusations, certain that he never spoke with Kanu about the matter of changing his legal team.
The reports, according to Ejimakor, are untrue.
He stated: "False story. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu never discussed such with me last Monday. Our discussions were not even close to what was reported here.
"I suspect that someone, a desperate and deranged person, is trying to pit the legal team against me or infuse disarray into the legal team.
"There have been similar false stories like this in the recent past."
