GRAHAM POTTER WAS PAID A FEE OF £22 MILLION BY CHELSEA

Brighton has revealed that Chelsea paid £21.5 million in compensation before acquiring manager Graham Potter and his backroom team in September last year.

On Wednesday, the south coast club released their most recent financial results.

The change in the dugout is categorized as a "post balance sheet event."

It is, however, the second-largest payment in history, trailing only Bayern Munich's £22 million payment to RB Leipzig for Julian Nagelsmann in 2021.

After arriving at Stamford Bridge, Potter agreed to a five-year contract worth around £60 million.

He has struggled to impose his style on the Blues, who are currently tenth in the table.

This is a Premier League team's record fee for a head coach.
