DATES FOR ISSUING CERTIFICATES OF RETURN TO GOVERNORS-ELECT IN THE 2023 ELECTIONS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED BY INEC

Dates for issuing Certificates of Return to Governors-elect have been confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.

Following a meeting on March 25, 2023, one week after the nationwide gubernatorial elections, the commission made its decision.

The constitution requires INEC to provide the Certificate of Return within 14 days.

The presentation will take place at the electoral body's offices in each state on March 29, Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31.

The Resident Electoral Commissioners and Administrative Secretaries of the various states will inform those elected of the exact dates for the issuance of the certificates.

Up to this point, 26 Governors-elect have been announced.
