50 Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANS) have been appointed by President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to represent him in the Court of Appeal's presidential pool on February 25, 2023.

According to reports, Tinubu told the 50-member team that their duty did not simply involve defending his election but also had the defense of democracy as its main objective.

According to reports, Tinubu told the 50-member team that their duty did not simply involve defending his election but also had the defense of democracy as its main objective.

At the opening meeting on March 8 in Ikoyi, Lagos, Tinubu's main attorney, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), reportedly revealed this.

The president-elect made reference to the election results, particularly those from his home state of Lagos and President Muhammadu Buhari's state of Katsina. He claimed that the defeat suffered by the All Progressives Congress (APC) was unthinkable and was only made possible by how free and fair the election was.

He expressed great confidence in the team's capacity to defend the wishes of the Nigerian people by using their abundance of knowledge, experience, and tenacity.

This occurs one day after Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential nominee, established a legal team, which includes 17 Experts, to contest the contentious presidential election.

As he stated that he had worked with the majority of them over the years in the course of his own defense of democracy and democratic institutions, Tinubu expressed his entire confidence in the talents of the members of his legal team.
