ATIKU, OBI, AND TINUBU ARE DEFEATED IN THE 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC's presidential candidate, has been named the election's victor.


According to the results announced by INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu, Tinubu received a total of 8,794,726 votes, beating out Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, who received 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533 votes, respectively.


While all of the political parties together received only 666,298 votes, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, or NNPP, received 1,496,687.


The former Lagos State helmsman also fulfilled the 25 percent votes from 24 States as stipulated in the Electoral Act 2022 as amended.


The three contenders won twelve states each, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, while Kwankwaso cleared Kano State.
