Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has been encouraged to acknowledge that Bola Tinubu used him to win the recently-concluded presidential election.

Reno Omokri, an ally of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, made the remark while noting that Obi was delusional to think he won the 2015 presidential election.

In a tweet, Omokri wrote on Wednesday: "What kind of delusion is making Peter Obi, who couldn't win 25% of the votes outside SE and SS and NC states with a sizeable Igbo population and Lagos, claim he won #NigerianElections2023? My friend, accept that Tinubu used **** play you. Lick your wounds!

"2 days ago Labour suspended Basambo Abubakar, its Kwara guber candidate, for anti-party activities. Yesterday, Peter Obi asked Obidients to vote for PDP's C River guber candidate, Sandy Onor. Will Labour also suspend him or are there different rules for different folks?"

Behind Tinubu, the eventual winner, and Atiku, the LP candidate finished third in the presidential election.

Obi had insisted that he had won the election despite losing and that he would challenge the results in court.

To this purpose, the former Anambra State Governor has organized a group of attorneys to pursue his case in the Presidential Election Tribunal.
