NIGERIA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: ATTACK ON KANO NNPP HEADQUARTERS RESULTS IN TWO PEOPLE BEING BURNED TO DEATH

According to reports, two people were killed on Sunday in an assault on the Kano campaign office of a NNPP candidate for the House of Representatives.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the event in a statement on Monday, noting that two unidentified people in a stalled car within the premises were burned to death after a bunch of suspected thugs set fire to the office.

The incident was reported to the Kano State Police Command at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, during the collation of results at the Tudun Wada Local Government Area INEC headquarters.

The thugs reportedly organized and made an attempt to block the road leading to the INEC office, according to Kiyawa.
