AMINU MUHAMMAD IS RELEASED

Aminu Muhammad, a final-year student at Federal University in Dutse, has been let go.

On November 18, the police detained him at his university after he appeared to mock Mrs. Aisha Buhari in a tweet.

Mixed feelings were expressed in response to his detention, and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) later apologized to Mrs. Buhari for the post.

The tweet, which was posted on June 8, reads: "Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi."

Muhammad's tweet, accompanied by a photo of Aisha, loosely translates as "Mama has eaten poor people's money and is now full."
