Alexander Iwobi

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has acknowledged he wants to sign a new deal with Premier League team Everton.

Iwobi's current contract with the Toffees expires in 2024, and negotiations for a new one have already begun between the parties.

According to reports, Everton wants the 26-year-old to sign a brand-new five-year contract.

The ex-Arsenal star has said that continuing to play at Goodison Park is still his top aim

"I want to win as many things as I can with this club. That is why I came here, the club was very ambitious and it still is. I'd like to stay," Iwobi told the ECHO.

Iwobi, along with Vitali Mykolenko, James Tarkowski, and Demarai Gray, were the only four players to start each of Everton's 13 games this season in the Premier League.

He has one goal and six assists to his credit.
