POTTER DECISION IF CHELSEA SHOULD ACQUIRE RONALDO FROM MANCHESTER UNITED

Graham Potter

After his heated interview with Piers Morgan, in which he attacked manager Erik ten Hag and the club management, Ronaldo's second stint at Old Trafford appears to be over.

United is currently thinking about ending the 37-year-contract.

The arrangement is still valid for another seven months and is worth more than £500,000 each week.

Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, looked into the potential of acquiring Ronaldo during the summer transfer window, but Thomas Tuchel, the manager at the time, rejected the notion.

According to MailOnline, Boehly might rekindle his interest in a prospective trade next year and speak with Jorge Mendes again.

However, Potter is reportedly "equally unenthused" as Tuchel about the idea of including the captain of Portugal in his Chelsea team.
