MAN UTD TERMINATE CRISTIANO RONALDO'S CONTRACT 'WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT'
Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Manchester United has been terminated "with immediate effect," according to the club.
This was disclosed in a succinct post on their social media accounts.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.
"The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford," it read.
This comes after Ronaldo's shocking interview with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-contract old's was terminated by the Red Devils seven months early.
Additionally, they won't pay the £16 million that Ronaldo would have made by June 2023.
Ronaldo's criticism of the club's US owners, manager Erik ten Hag, the club's facilities, his colleagues, and former Red Devils players like Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville led United to feel that he had broken the terms of his contract.
