ITALIAN WOMAN MURDERED SPOUSE AND UPDATED FACEBOOK STATUS

After killing her Nigerian spouse, an Italian woman quickly amended her marital status on Facebook

Police in Italy have detained 51-year-old Sandra Fratus on suspicion of killing her Nigerian husband there.

After a heated argument at their Morengo, Bergamo province, home, she is accused of stabbing Ernest Emperor Mohamed, 31, in the chest with a knife.

According to reports, the event took place on Friday night. 25 November 2022.

Prior to the arrival of paramedics, the suspect allegedly attempted to revive the victim after stabbing him by massaging his heart.

When the woman's 23-year-old son returned home and saw that his mother had changed her Facebook relationship status to "widow," he was the first to realize what had happened.

For "voluntary homicide aggravated by futile reasons," the woman is being detained. The defense attorney for the suspect implied that Sandra may have reached for the knife in an effort to defend herself by stating that there had been "profound discomfort and fragility" in the home for some time.
