Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, praised Premier League player Cristian Romero for his efforts while playing for his nation.

Since making his debut with La Albicelestes last year, Romero, who presently represents Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur, has been a reliable member of the defense.

In addition to being named to the Team of the Tournament, the 24-year-old assisted the Argentina national team in capturing the Copa America trophy in 2021.
