BUHARI INTRODUCES NEW 200, 500, AND 1000 NAIRA NOTES

The president performed the unveiling before the commencement of the Wednesdays federal Executive council Meeting held at the council chambers.

President buhari who was flanked by council members said he was performing a function aimed at strengthening the Nigerian economy.

The new naira notes will become legal tender begining from December 15 while the old notes will cease to be legal tender effective February 1, 2023.

The move is the first in 19 years since Nigeria rededigned her currency notes.
