TINUBU'S APC YOUTHS BEGIN JOGGING FROM YENAGOA TO LAGOS

On Thursday, youths from the South-East and South-South regions of the All Progressives Congress began jogging from Yenagoa to Lagos to rally support for the party's presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The youths formed a team of fitness enthusiasts to take part in the six-day exercise under the auspices of the South-East/South-South Jogging for Tinubu Campaign Initiative.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the jogging began at the APC's Bayelsa secretariat by the party's Bayelsa Chairman, Dr Dennis Otiotion.

Speaking to the team shortly before takeoff, Otiotio praised the youths for volunteering to drum up support for Tinubu/presidential Shettima's bid, saying the gesture demonstrated that Nigerian youths desired Tinubu.

He noted that sports remained a powerful tool for youth development and mass mobilization, bringing youths from 11 South-East and South-South geopolitical zones together.

Otitio noted that the fact that the APC youths initiated the jogging from Yenagoa was impressive, indicating the state's support for Tinubu's presidency.

Tinubu's track record as governor of Lagos State, according to the state APC chairman, remained verifiable testimony of the presidential candidate's leadership capacity.

Earlier, Mr Sam Adaga, the support group's coordinator, told Otiotio that the 25-member team included at least two representatives from each of the 11 South-East and South-South states, as well as the group's executive.
