"STOP CRITICIZING YOUR LEADERS" - PASTOR ADEBOYE
Pastor Adeboye tells Nigerians why they should stop criticizing their leaders.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged Nigerians to stop criticizing the country's leaders.
During a sermon on Sunday, October 2, the clergyman said that instead of criticizing the country's leaders, Nigerians should pray for them in order to achieve long-term progress.
Adeboye, who based his sermon on 1 Corinthians 7:13-14, said peace is the absence of storm, and that perfect peace refers to one that is permanent, because "storms are in categories."
He urged Nigerians to pray for their rulers and refrain from criticizing them in order for God to continue to guide them correctly if they want peace and the ability to weather the storm.
"In the olden days, unless you are one of the special people, they don't allow the king's dress to touch you," he says, "but now kidnappers can go to the palace to kidnap the king." Let no one mislead you, we are in a dire situation. What kings and soldiers cannot do, the almighty God will do for you.
God will heal the land and intervene in various issues affecting the country negatively, and I urge the people to prepare to fast and pray for the country with me very soon. We've spent a lot of time criticizing the rulers, so please pray for them. You should say a prayer for them. I'm praying for them, and I hope you'll join me."
