OONI OF IFE SET TO WED QUEEN ASHLEY TRADITIONALLY


The Ooni of Ife is set to marry two more wives, just weeks after marrying his second wife.

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, is set to marry two more wives, just weeks after marrying his second wife, Olori Elizabeth Opealuwa Akinmuda.

The monarch married Akinmuda in Magodo, Lagos, just hours after marrying his first wife, Queen Mariam Anako.

According to reports, he will marry Tobi Phillips and Ashley Adegoke this October before his 48th birthday.

Tobi Phillips is said to be a graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos and a former Beauty Queen, whereas Queen Ashley is a chartered accountant who currently runs the Ashley Adegoke Foundation, an NGO that helps underprivileged children and widows.

She holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich and currently operates her businesses in the United Kingdom.

Prior to his coronation, the Ooni was married to Adebukola Bombata in 2008, but the marriage ended in divorce. Following her coronation, Ooni married Edo-born Zainab-Ctiti Obanor in 2016, but the marriage only lasted 17 months before their divorce. Ooni then married Silekunola in 2018, and the couple had a son before announcing their divorce in December.
