According to reports, the Ethiopian embassy has suspended visas on arrival for Nigerians with immediate effect.

According to a memo sent to travel partners on Tuesday, October 4, Ethiopian Airlines advised passengers to obtain their visas at the Ethiopian embassy in Abuja before embarking on any trip to the country.

According to the report, the airlines stated, "Please be advised that effective immediately, there will be No More Visa on Arrival for Nigerian citizens."

Before traveling, passengers must obtain a visa from the Ethiopian Embassy in Abuja.

Please keep in mind that the ban does not apply to passengers transiting through Addis Abeba overnight. For example, passengers with a layover in Addis Ababa who plan to travel the next morning to Zanzibar, Seychelles, or Lusaka.
