DPO KIDNAPPED THREE MONTHS AGO IS NOW FREE
Sani Mohammed Gyadi-Gyadi, the Divisional Police Officer of Birnin Gwari Division who was kidnapped about three months ago, has been released.
This was the result of a sophisticated intelligence-coordinated operation led by the joint security service, according to MON DIARIES.
Gyadi Gyadi, who was kidnapped by terrorists in Kaduna in July of this year, was freed on Wednesday after their abductors released 23 train hostages.
Following his release, the Birnin Gwari Police Chief was taken to a health facility in Kaduna State for a medical checkup.
It should also be noted that the DPO's family had petitioned the Federal Government to assist in his release.
"He is stable, but doctors are monitoring his health condition," a close relative of Gyadi-Gyadi, a Chief Superintendent of Police says.
Meanwhile, an intelligence source said Wednesday evening that all efforts towards securing the freedom of the Police Officer have been completed.
"While I won't like to pre-empt the ongoing processes, any moment from now the police officer will be freed from captivity," the source disclosed to media on Wednesday night.
It should also be noted that the DPO's family had petitioned the Federal Government to assist in his release from detention.
