THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS GRANTED NIGERIAN CITIZENSHIP TO 286 BRITONS

The Federal Government has granted Nigerian citizenship to 286 Britons, Lebanese, Italians, and others

The Federal Government has announced that two hundred and eighty-six (286) foreign nationals from forty-nine countries have been granted citizenship.

Dr Shuaib Belgore, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, revealed this in an advertisement signed and made public on Saturday.

According to the document, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the conferment of Nigerian citizenship in February of this year. According to the document, the exercise will be carried out in a ceremony at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, which will be presided over by President Buhari.

Among the foreign nationals who have gained Nigerian citizenship are 108 Lebanese, 16 Italians, 14 Britons, five Nigeriens, and two Chadians. Egypt, the United States, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Greece, India, the Dominican Republic, France, Palestine, Australia, Jordan, Cyprus, and Ireland are also represented. Beneficiaries included foreign nationals from Serbia, Kenya, Belarus, Somalia, Ukraine, and Ethiopia, among others.
