SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN BAUCHI ARE PROTESTING THE SEPARATION OF BOYS AND GIRLS IN SCHOOL

On Monday, September 26, secondary school students took to the streets of Bauchi to protest the separation of boys and girls in their schools.

Dr. Aliyu Tilde, Commissioner for Education, stated last week that the government has decided to separate male and female students in public secondary schools due to moral decadence among students on social media, which has become prevalent in mixed schools.

According to him, the government has decided to reconsider the 1978 policy that abolished core education in the state, but only when and where it is possible.
