WOMEN IN TECH: AI TECHNOLOGY HUB LUNCHEON IN COAL CITY OF ENUGU
____TECHNOLOGY IN THE COAL CITY OF ENUGU ____
The A1 Technology Hub luncheon was the talk of the town in the weeks preceding the event. The C. E. O, Mrs Kachi Aghasili went on air
On 91.5Fm where she spoke about the great advantages and opportunities that are yet to be tapped in the tech space. Her team and herself were prolific in the dissipation of the tech fever that it even attracted the All Progressive Grand Alliance Governorship Aspirant and former Minister of information, Mr. Frank Nweke Jnr and other high profile personalities.
In the Luncheon, she made mention of the high potential lurking in the Tech Space and how people get into tech only to travel abroad to work and live. She was of the view that the tide must change where and that other nations should be coming to Nigeria and Enugu most especially to work and get employees that will work here and increase the success of the Tech industry.
In the event, she as well mentioned the benefits of joining the tech space and most especially the A1 Tech Hub which include free access to workspace and wifi including other relaxation activities and all to get their personal jobs done when members come to their vicinity. Registered members will as well be able to secure spaces for themselves in their subsequent Hub events and gain bragging rights.
Students can as well get registered to learn coding and other computer languages including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Fullstack and other backend languages. The students on completing their training will be given jobs and partnerships by the hub.
According to her, the Hub promises to give a different narrative to the still infant tech space in Enugu and it will be ready to work with the government to secure more youths to acquire skills that will benefit them in the future.
The Guest Speaker arrived and added more ingenuity to the event
The Enugu governorship aspirant, Mr. Frank Nweke Junior was the guest speaker at the luncheon. When he arrived at the podium, he congratulated Mrs. Kachi Aghasili. These were some of the few things he had to say:
“.....In a typical Igbo faction, she knows who she is, an authentic Igbo woman. She knows where she is coming from and she knows where she is going to…. She feels a deep sense of responsibility to change our society and deep responsibility to the people that are home and to help pull our young people and businesses up. She feels a deep responsibility to expand the frontiers of technology in the whole south- east. So Kachi it is good to meet you and thank you for what you’ve been doing. I can assure you that when I become the governor of Enugu state, this woman will not be far away from me. With the incredible passion she has and her great enthusiasm, I can assure you that people like this will not be found far away from the government and she will be part of the policy making.
In the 21st century, tech is what drives the world and the currency today is skill and it doesn’t matter what kind of skill it is neither is your paper qualification nor business. If you cannot write, code, and you don’t know how to use nor develop software, neither can you fix your car, I can assure you that it really puts you at a disadvantage but if you have these skills, you can be sure that you will never be lacking in work.....I know the importance of technology in this society and what matters today is the knowledge you have. With this increase in tech knowledge, you can bring Germany, United States, and United Kingdom to the people of Enugu. What matters today is a knowledge driven society and the foundation must be there because the right investment must be made in the primary and secondary level. Basic maths, basic engineering have become essential and the government must put this things into place to drive this industry. The government just like the one in India must put in place the foundational requirements for our people to get this things done. Such things like this have been done before, When the premiers back then chose to establish the University of Nigeria, Nsukka which have led to the production of people of great learning in the South East as well as Nigeria and at large……………..”

As a Governorship aspirant in the oncoming 2023 elections in Enugu, he had the below to say as well,
…..The minimum wage is too bad and the people who are supposed to make these things better are not doing anything about it. Can you imagine that the primary school teachers in Enugu here are all on strike due to poor payment; like they were being paid 18,000 naira which is even far below the minimum wage? All of you all should take the political process serious. I am in my 50s and I can say that it is the summer of my life but all of you here are in what I call the spring of your life. No one can doubt that then last eight years of our lives have been the most trying times of we all and we must not let this thing continue into the next era. We must be Know what we want and take our destiny with our own hands....
The evening ended with pictures and networking.
The Hub is officially open. If you are looking to learn more in Tech when you are in Enugu, ask of A1 Technology Hub and thank me later.
