A GAY MAN WAS ARRESTED FOR DEFILING A 10-YEAR-OLD BOY

A gay man was arrested for defiling a 10-year-old boy and attempting to end it all in order to avoid arrest

The Adamawa State police command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Kawu Sale, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old minor in Tsohon Tike, Mayo Belwa Local Government Area.

According to reports, the suspect was apprehended on Thursday, September 1. According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state police command's spokesperson, the suspect allegedly lured the victim into his room and had undue carnal knowledge of him through his anus.

The victim's father, Akure Usman, and other members of the community reported the incident to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Mayo Belwa. According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, preliminary investigation so far reveals that on the same date at around 1100hrs, the victim was seen running out of the suspect's room.

When questioned, the victim described what the suspect had done to him. "Angry at what the accused had done, the neighbors went straight to the suspect room. When he saw the mob approaching his room, he tried to end it all by stabbing himself several times on the neck and stomach." Nguroje stated The suspect is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Yola.
