84-YEAR-OLD GRANDFATHER WAS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFYING AN 8-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN OGUN STATE
Ogun State police have arrested Stephen Jack, 84, for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old girl in the state's Ijebu Ode area.
The suspect was apprehended following a report lodged at the Obalende divisional headquarters by the victim's father, who reported that he discovered his daughter bleeding from her private part, and when questioned, she said the suspect had defiled her.
SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the command's public relations officer, said in a statement on Saturday, September 24: "Upon the report, the DPO Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami detailed his detectives to the scene, where the randy old man was apprehended
Preliminary investigation revealed that the old man is a known pedophile in the area. The victim has been taken to the General Hospital Ijebu Ode for medical treatment."
