26-yr-OLD BAGS FOR LAWYERS 5 YEARS IN PRISON FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

Sulaimon Kaosarat Yetunde, a 26-year-old lawyer, was sentenced to five years in prison for drug trafficking by the Federal High Court in Lagos.

This follows her "guilty plea to a conspiracy charge and the unlawful export of 1.10 kilograms of cannabis sativa."

The convict, who studied law at a university in the Benin Republic, was apprehended and charged by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Yetunde, of 28, Fehintola Giwa Street, Aguda - Surulere, Lagos, was arrested on July 18, 2022, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to export the prohibited substance, according to prosecution counsel Mr. Abu Ibrahim.

She was said to have persuaded Benjamin Christopher Joel to commit suicide.
