ACCOUNTS DIRECTOR FOR NDDC IS DETAINED BY EFCC ON SUSPICION OF A N25 BILLION SCAM
Eno Ubi-Otu, the Niger Delta Development Commission's (NDDC)) director of finance and accounts, is currently being questioned by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for an alleged theft of over N25 billion in tax payments.
As of the time of publication, the suspect who appeared at the Commission early on Wednesday was still being questioned.
According to a source, the arrest was a part of a bigger probe into the NDDC's forensic audit report.
Wilson Uwujaren, a spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, could not be reached for comment at the time this report was being written.
