ACTIVIST PRAISES POLICE FOR DEALING WITH OFFICERS WHO ALLEGEDLY EXTORTED N1.2 MILLION FROM NIGERIAN MAN
The police officers, who had allegedly extorted the money from one Emmanuel Chibueze Jaja, were later detained and are now facing the music, it appears.
Today, we attended the commencement of the orderly trial of 8 police officers attached to Ogudu Divisional Police Station for 1.2 million naira extortion, activist Harrison Gwamnishu wrote in a social media post today.
We wish to commend the Lagos State Police Command, Lagos State PRO Ben Hundeyin and Command Provost CSP Oti for their shrift response and making sure the officers are disciplined.
I won't fail to thank ACP Ishaku, head Complaint Response Unit, for his continued support to victims of police misconduct.
"All the officers involved are still in detention at the Lagos State Police Headquarters Trial is ongoing and witnesses are carrently at the provost office giving evidence.
