THIS IS THE OFFICIAL MATCH BALL FOR THE QATAR 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP

It has been named 'Al Rihla'.

Al Rihla is an Arabic expression which translates to 'the journey.'

The match ball was inspired by Qatar's culture, architecture, iconic boats and the flag of Qatar. It features the bold vibrant colours set on the pearlescent background also represents the ever-increasing speed of the game.

Al Rihla is designed to support peak game speeds, as it travels faster in flight than any ball in the tournament's history.

Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia and 27 other countries will be part of that journey.

Al Rihla's two specific features is what makes the ball stand out from the rest, CRT-CORE and SPEEDSHELL.

The crt-core is the heart of the ball, providing speed, accuracy and consistency for fast paced action and precision with maximal shape and air retention.

The speedshell is a textured PU skin with a new 20-piece panel shape, improving the accuracy, flight stability and swerve thanks to macro and micro textures, plus surface 'debossing.'
