AFCON EXIT SUPER EAGLES COULD HAVE DEDEAFED TUNISIA, BUHARI SAYS

President Muhammadu Buhari says the Super Eagles could have defeated Tunisia to advance beyond the round of 16 in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), urging Nigerians not write the team off.

"They (Super Eagles) gave everyone the confidence that they were up to it, and I am sure it was something they could have achieved," Mr Buhari.

Mr Buhari said regardless of the early exit of the Super Eagles from the AFCON tournament, Nigerians "should not write them off."
