STOP KILLINGS IN SOUTH EAST AND EMBRACE DIALOGUE - VETERAN ACTOR JIM IYKE TELLS YOUTHS
Nollywood actor, Jim lyke, has urged youths in the South East region, to shun all forms of violence and embrace peace
Speaking at an event in Owerri, Imo State, on Saturday, October 24, Jim Iyke said that the explosives being thrown in the region were affecting the economy of the zone.
He suggested that instead of violence, government and the aggrieved people should seek dialogue as way to settling their differences. He urged the youths to amplify their voices on youths that worry them instead of taking to weapons.
He said the Igbo as the most disenfranchised in Nigeria and advised that the Igbo leaders should work in the direction of correcting the bad governance in the region.
According to him, "Nobody condones bad thing. Discussion is still the way forward. We can amplify our voices in so many ways instead of killing ourselves. Don't forget this destruction is not outside of Igboland it is inside our land. We are killing ourselves by ourselves. A house fighting itself in the same house will only collapse."
