NURSING MOTHER RE-ARRESTED WITH DRUGS
Nursing mother re-arrested with drugs a week after she was granted bail for attempting to smuggle cannabis into NDLEA cell for suspect in custody.
The 75-year-old mother of a two-month-old, baby was first arrested on October 21 by the Edo Command of the agency.
Mariam Dirisu who claims to be a part-time 400-level student of International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of Benin was arrested while trying to smuggle 5kg skank and 8.1grams of Molly concealed in cassava flour meal called "akpu."
The spokesman for NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday in Abuja that she was arrested on Saturday for placing orders for drugs to be delivered to her from Lagos even while still on bail for the earlier offence.
