GANDUJE'S WIFE DETAINED BY EFCC

According to credible sources confirmed that wife of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja According to the sources, Hafsat Ganduje, who was petitioned by her son, was invited for interrogation but was detained there Monday night, perhaps to continue with the interrogation Tuesday morning.

Recall that Mrs Ganduje was dragged to the EFCC by her son, Abdul Azeez Umar Ganduje, over allegations of financial misappropriation.

The Governor's first son had earlier petitioned that he was approached by a property developer to help facilitate the acquisition of some plots of land in Kano with some hundreds of thousands of US dollars and at least 35 million Naira as facilitation commission".

Efforts to contact some of the Governor's aides for confirmation were abor live as they were not able to pick the calls or reply to our reporter's SMS up to the time of filling in this report.
