THE KIDNAPPERS WHO KILLED OLAJIDE SOWORE REPORTEDLY BERATED AN ABDUCTEE WHO BEGGED THEM WITH #500,000 TO SET HER FREE.

Olajide was brother to activist publisher Omoyele Sowore. He was also a student of Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo state.

"He ran into the hands of suspected kidnappers at Isiuwa community, along the Lagos-Benin expressway on 4th September 2021," the school said in a statement.

Emmanuella Anyanwu, a widow who escaped from the attackers said the gunmen demanded a ransom of 10 million shortly before she escaped from the camp where she was kept with four others.

Anyanwu, who said she was on her way from Lagos to Imo to bury her late hasband, stated that she offered the kidnappers N500,000, but was called a fool.
