GOVERNOR OBIANO DECLARES TWENTY MILLION NAIRA REWARD, FOR ANYONE WHO CAN GIVE OUT INFORMATION ON THE IDENTITY OF UNKNOWN GUNMEN
Obiano lamented that some armed persons have unleashed terror with sporadic attacks on innocent citizens in various parts of the state in the past few days.
Governor Obiano noted that 10 people were killed in various parts of the state between Sunday, September 26, and Tuesday, September 28, including Dr Chike Akunyili, husband of late Prof Dora Akunyili.
He added that offices of some political parties in the state, including branded campaign vehicles and individuals occupying them, have been attacked with killings and burning of vehicles observed.
Obiano calls for cooperation of youths, traditional rulers
The Anambra governor also called on all youths in the state to rise up and protect their communities.
He also charged traditional rulers, clerics, vigil ante groups and all leadership structures in the state to take responsibility and assist security agencies to restore order immediately.
