THE GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU, SAN, IS REPORTEDLY SET TO SIGN THE ANTI-OPEN GRAZING BILL INTO LAW
This is coming just after President Muhammadu Buharis recent controversial approval that 368 grazing sites across the 25 States of the country be reviewed immediately.

However, it was gathered that the Ondo State Governor will sign the Bill into Law, today.
The Bill which was passed by the State House of Assembly on July 2, 2021, is designed to regulate security, rearing and grazing of livestock in the State, to avoid criminal Herdsmen from committing all sorts of crimes in the State, especially against the peaceful farmers.
The Bill will also ensure the establishment of Ranches in the State in approved areas, as well as prevent the destruction of farm crops in the State, and will address any clashes between the herders and farmers in the State.
